Salt

Bulk road salt sold by the tonne or by the bag. Our Thickson Rd. location will stay open past regular hours during inclement weather to serve our customer's needs.

Salt & Sand

A mixture of coarse sand mixed with road salt. We generally mix it at 20% salt and 80% sand.

Salt (Thawrox)

This product is normal rock salt coated with magnesium. This product lasts longer and works in significantly lower temperatures than regular rock salt. Studies undertaken by Sifto Canada and Innovative Surface Solutions show that replacing rock salt with Thawrox yields a 20% to 50% reduction in product needed to de-ice roads.

Avalanche De-Icer

Our Avalanche De-Icer is a salt-free alternative to melting ice. Salt is a corrosive material and can damage concrete or interlocking brick. This product is a mixture of calcium and magnesium and comes in a 22.7 kg bag.

Earth Care Crystal

This product is rock salt with Potassium Acetate. The potassium helps make the salt more effective in lower temperatures and to minimize the environmental impact of the salt. This product is sold in a 22.7 kg bag.

Calcium Bags

Another option for melting ice is to use calcium flakes. We generally have two sizes of bagged calcium: 22.7 kg and 40 kg bags.
